Cellist, People's Artist of Moldova, head of department stringed instruments of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts from Chisinau, soloist of the Organ Hall from Chisinau.
He studied at the Musical School ,,E. Coca” and the Conservatory of Chisinau, and it continued at the Conservatory from Almaty, Kazakhstan. He has postgraduate studies at the Conservatory "P. Tchaikovsky" in Moscow in the class of professor N. Şahovskaia.
In 1977-79 was first cellist of the orchestra of National Opera, 1979-81 - first cellist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Moldova, 1997-2000 - director of that institution, from 1977 until now he never stopped pedagogical activity.
He was in the composition of different bands (orchestras and chamber ensembles), as a soloist with various orchestras, and recitals, he performed in all
ex-Soviet republics, in Romania, Israel, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Germany, China , Turkey, Iceland, USA.
His repertoire includes virtually the entire literature for cello: Concerts with orchestra by Haydn, Boccherini, Beethoven, Schumann, Lalo, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saens, Shostakovich, Milhaud, Prokofiev, Haceaturian, Sonatas by Bach, Boccherini, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahns, Franck, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, Shostakovich; miniatures for cello with piano or with orchestra Albinoni, Boccherini, Schubert, de Falla, Ibert, Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Paganini, Shchedrin, Bruch, Rimsky-Korsakov and many parts and pieces of large creations with different accompaniments transcribed for cello.
