NATIONAL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The NATIONAL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA activates in the framework of the Organ Hall. This orchestra is well known in the world due to the fact that it toured in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Israel, USA, and due to its high performing qualities shown in the presented repertoire, which is performed enthusiastically according to the musical style and to the requirements of the time.

The National Chamber Orchestra was founded in the spring of 1988 on the initiative of the conductor Alfred GERSHFELD (currently established in USA). At the present, the first conductor of the orchestra is the Cristian FLOREA.

The musicians of the orchestra are graduates of higher institutions in Chisinau, Moscow, Nijnii Novgorod. Each musician is also a soloist, performing concerts for solo and orchestral instrument, also forming different instrumental ensembles: trio, quartets, string quartets, etc., also ensemble with piano, harpsichord, aerophone instruments.

The National Chamber Orchestra evolved with numerous guest conductors and soloists, including violinists G.CROITORU, A.TOMESCU, L.PRUNARU (Romania), E.SÂRBU (Romania - United Kingdom), M.IAŞVILI (Georgia - Russia), L.ISAKADZE (Georgia - Germany), A.MUSAHODJAEVA (Kazakhstan), O.KRYSA (USA), cellists A.RUDIN, A.KNYAZEV, N.GUTMAN (Russia), St.POPOV (United Kingdom), M.DROBINSKY (France), A.IONIȚĂ (Romania), L.BURUIANĂ (Romania - France), pianists D.GRIGORE, H.MIHAIL (Romania), D.CIOCÂRLIE (Romania - France), T.DOMANOWSKI (Poland), A. PALEY (USA), M.DALBERTO, L.FAVRE-KAHN, JB.POMMIER, JL.ANDRE (France), Dang Thai SON (Vietnam-Canada), K.LIVSCHITZ (Germany), G.KATSARAVA (Georgia-France), E.MIHAILOV, V.SVERDLOV-ASHKENAZY (Russia), flute players IU.SUTKO (Ukraine), G.NOVA (Italy), organists A.CHOROSINSKI (Poland), M.EISENBERG (Germany), trumpeter O.SAUTER (Germany), clarinetist E.OTTENSAMER (Austria), conductors P.STRUB (Germany), M.KATZ (France), the famous conductor G. VARGA (Switzerland), the violinist and conductor V.SPIVAKOV (Russia), who appreciated the high professionalism of the orchestra.

Among the performances of the National Chamber Orchestra is the recording of the CD in collaboration with the French trumpeter Bernard SOUSTROT, the launch of which took place at the Montansier Theater in Versailles. Also, in 2013, at the concert dedicated to the National Day of Romania, was released the CD “George Enescu et Béla Bartók”, made by the National Chamber Orchestra, the conductor Cristian Florea, together  with the  famous romanian cellist Laura BURUIANA, established in France.

Being included in the European Symphony Orchestra, founded by Cristian FLOREA, the musicians from the National Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova had the honor of accompanying the famous artists on a different stage in Europe, such as: tenors P.DOMINGO and J.CARRERAS, mezzo-soprana - T.BERGANZA etc.

        The repertoire of the National Chamber Orchestra includes all the universal chamber music from preclassic to contemporary, as well as works in a concert variant (Die Schauspieldirektor, Die Zauberflöte, La Clemenza di Tito by Mozart), vocal-symphonic creations (Die Jahreszeiten by Haydn, Matthäus -Passion, Johhannes-Passion, Weihnachts-Oratory, Hohe Messe in h-moll by Bach's, Krönungsmesse by  Mozart, Ungarische Krönungsmesse by Liszt).

       On September 04, 2011, the National Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova evolved with a great success at  the Romanian Athenaeum, on  the XX  jubilee edition, at the International Festival "George Enescu". In the same year, the orchestra presented the traditional Christmas Concert at the Cotroceni National Museum in Bucharest. In September 2015, the orchestra  also participated in the XXII edition of this prestigious festival, with two concerts - in Bucharest and Sibiu. During the same period, the National Chamber Orchestra held a concert at the Radio Hall in Bucharest.
